Lil Yachtyが同世代の75%のラッパーより上手くラップできると主張する

先日マイアミの新世代ラッパーSmokepurppが、「Lil Yachtyは現在のベストラッパーの1人」と評した記事を伝えたが、SmokepurppはTwitterでも同様の投稿を行っている。

SmokepurppはLil Yachtyは過小評価されており、実際は現在のヒップホップシーンのトップ10に入る実力者だとツイートした。

このツイートに対してYachty自身が反応。「おれは同世代のラッパーの75%より上手くラップできるよ。それを証明できるものはないけど」と75%というところが、Yachtyらしいところとも言えるが、過小評価されていること自体はYachty自身も認識しているようだ。

それに対してYachtyはバースをけれないという反対意見があがったが、Yachty自身は「自分をリリシストだと言ったことはないよ。そうなろうとしたこともないけど、おれはラップはできる」と自信を見せた。

このYachtyの過小評価されているという自己認識に対してLil Uzi Vertも「これは本当のことだよ」と彼の実力にお墨付きを与えている。旧世代からはスキルがないという攻撃対象にされやすいYachtyだが、新世代には新世代なりの評価基準があるということなのだろうか。
