先程までニューヨーク・メッツの球場駐車場で開催されていたthe Meadows Festivalに出演していたKanye Westがライブを途中で切り上げた。
ライブ参加者のツイートによるとKanyeは3〜40分ほど遅れてコンサートを開始。しかしながらライブ途中でスタッフに何かを伝えられるとマイクで「家族に緊急事態が起こったのでライブを中止する」と伝え、ステージを後にしたという。

フェスティバルのオフィシャルTwitterも「Kanyeの家族に緊急事態が起こったので、ライブを途中で終わらなければいけなくなった。気をつけて家に帰ってください」とツイート。

CNNのレポーターによるとKanyeのパートナーであるキム・カーダシアンは武装した男性に銃を突きつけられたという。伝えられるところによると3人の警察の格好をした男性だったという。キム・カーダシアンは震えているが怪我はないとのこと。なおパリコレのために訪れていた彼女は、10億円相当の宝飾品とスマホ2台を奪われたと、現地警察のコメント。
