今夏最大の話題作だったFrank Oceanの新作『Blonde』は、これまで同時に発行されたZine『 Boys Don’t Cry Magazine』に掲載されていたContributor Listでしか、作品に携わったアーティストの名前がわからなかった。しかもこのContributor Listでは作品に直接的に携わったのか、Frank Oceanのインスピレーションの元になっただけなのか区別も曖昧のままだ。
しかし本日Pitchfolkが作曲家データベースASCAPでアップデートされた情報を元にアルバムに収録された17曲中12曲のクレジットを公表した。もっとも多く参加しているのはSa-Ra Creative PartnersのOm'Mas Keithだ。前作『Channel Orange』でも多大な貢献をした彼は今回公開されたスキット以外の全ての曲にクレジットされている。他にもKendrick LamarやTyler, the Creator、
Pharrell Williams、James Blake、Jamie xxなどの名前が見受けられる。
そしてContributor Listに記載されていたTodd RundgrenやThe Beatles、Elliott Smithなどの曲がサンプリングされているのも判明した。
しかしデータ版『Blonde』も5曲は判明しておらず、KOHHなども参加しているフィジカル版のクレジットもまだ公開されていないため、『Blonde』の謎はまだまだ解き明かされたとはいえない。
